On Tolerance And Faith

With all the noise the religious right makes, we sometimes forget how many tolerant and progressive people of faith are out there. Here's a good reminder: Last week, a coalition of theologians and religious leaders published an open letter on why people of faith should support same-sex marriages. Drawn up at a colloquium sponsored by the Religious Institute On Sexual Morality, Justice and Healing, the letter presents in clear and compelling language the religious foundations for allowing same-sex couples to wed. SEE THE DOCUMENT
