27 War RationalesMay 27, 2004A study produced by a senior honors student at the University of Illinois is the first to count and analyze the Bush administration's rationales leading to the war in Iraq. The researcher found 27 separate rationales were floated to the public between Sept. 12, 2001 and Oct. 11, 2002—and all but four came directly from the Bush administration. She also found that Bush switched his focus from Osama bin Laden to Saddam Hussein only five months after 9/11. READ THE STUDY |
