Conventional contrarian opinion holds that the Bush administration had no plan for post-War Iraq. Naomi Klein has been reporting from on the ground in Iraq and says no, the neoconservatives did have a plan. They wanted Iraq to prove all the theories of Milton Friedman correct, without having to compromise with Congressional Democrats. What better a place to do that than an oil-dependent, ethnically fractured, socialist dictatorship?
