Common Ground In The Abortion Debate

As the right and the left seek common ground on the abortion issue, there is one area that is a perfect place to start—pregnancy prevention. A basic way to make abortion rare is to prevent unplanned pregnancies. Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid is sponsoring a bill called the Prevention First Act, which would ensure that women have access to birth control pills and emergency contraceptives, and would increase federal funding for family planning.
